Classes

We pride ourselves on being a Studio purely dedicated to yoga and meditation. We continually try to move authentic yoga forward based in our core values of kindness, inclusivity, holistic well-being and a strong sense of community.

At Jackie Allen Yoga we offer classes in a welcoming, non-judgemental, relaxed environment.

Gentle Flow

Includes a balanced combination of slow and medium paced sequences to warm up the body, with a focus  on alignment, strength, balance, and flexibility. Each pose transitions smoothly into the next, encouraging participants to be present and fully aware of their body and breath.

Practitioners focus on synchronised breathing with each movement, allowing the breath to guide and deepen the stretches and postures. Participants are encouraged to honor their bodies and never force themselves into discomfort.

Towards the end of the practice, there’s a gentle cool-down period where participants engage in more restorative floor-based poses before settling into savasana for deep relaxation.

Suitable for all levels and confident Beginners.

HATHA

Hatha yoga is a foundational and traditional style of yoga that emphasises the balance of mind, body and spirit through physical postures (asanas), breath control (pranayama), and meditation. It’s often described as a gentle and mindful practice,

Hatha yoga is slower-paced than our Flow classes.  Movements are deliberate and smooth, promoting a sense of tranquility and mindfulness.

Hatha yoga is adaptable to various body types and fitness levels. Modifications and props may be used to accommodate beginners or individuals with specific needs, making the practice inclusive and accessible to everyone.  It cultivates balance, self-awareness and a peaceful state of mind.

No previous experience required.

YIN

Yin is a slow-paced, meditative style of yoga that involves holding postures for extended periods, typically ranging from 3 to 5 minutes. Most poses in yin are floor based and use props to help support the body.  The primary focus of yin yoga is on targeting the connective tissues, such as ligaments, tendons, and fascia, as well as accessing deeper layers of muscles.

The practice allows you to slow down, relax, and turn inward, which helps alleviate stress and restore your energy levels. Yin yoga also improves flexibility, boosts circulation, and reduces tension.

No previous yoga experience required.

Our community is full of like-minded individuals, be they young, old, experienced or beginners.
